フンブとノルブのクリスマス

🎅 Opening – Santa Speaks

Ho ho ho. What a beautiful snowfall tonight.
On nights like this, I don’t just deliver presents—
I also share stories that gently warm the heart.
This is the tale of two brothers, Heungbu and Nolbu,
and the quiet Christmas night
when they remembered what it truly means to share.

📖 The Story

The snow fell as if the world were being gently wrapped anew.
Silently. Without choosing anyone.

Heungbu’s house was small.
Cold air slipped through the cracks,
and on the table lay a single piece of bread.

Still, a candle stood at the center.

“Because today is Christmas,”
Heungbu said, lighting the flame.
It was small, but steady.

A soft flutter came from the roof.
In the snow stood a swallow, protecting one injured leg—
the same bird Heungbu had helped in spring.

Heungbu lifted it without hesitation
and placed it by the hearth.

That night, Heungbu dreamed.

He stood inside Nolbu’s old house.
Once grand and full of people,
it was now vast, empty, and cold.

Nolbu sat alone at a long table.
Plates were everywhere—
all of them empty.

“Why is this happening?” Nolbu whispered.
“I thought I had everything.”

A white feather drifted down.
The swallow perched above.

“You gathered much,” it said.
“But you never shared.”

“I didn’t steal,” Nolbu protested.
“I worked for it.”

The swallow asked gently,
“Then whose heart did you warm?”

Nolbu had no answer.

Behind him stood a young Heungbu,
wearing torn clothes, smiling softly.

“Brother, let’s share.”

Nolbu fell to his knees.

“I was afraid,” he said.
“That if I gave anything away,
nothing would be left.”

Cold wind swept through the house.

“This is your winter,”
the swallow said, as the house faded into darkness.

Heungbu awoke to a knock at the door.

Outside stood Nolbu—older, shivering, humbled.
He bowed deeply without words.

Heungbu opened the door.

The children broke the bread and shared it.

At that moment,
the candle flame flared brightly.

The swallow flew in and dropped a small pouch.
Inside was not gold, nor jewels—
but seeds.

“A sharing heart,” said the swallow,
“can sprout even in winter.”

Light rose from the floor.
Soft green spread through the room,
and across the village as well.

With tears, Nolbu asked,
“Is it… not too late for me?”

Heungbu nodded.

“Not if it begins tonight.”

By morning,
a small tree stood outside the house,
its leaves gently moving—even in winter.

🎅 Closing – Santa Speaks

Ho ho ho. What do you think?
Miracles don’t fall from the sky.
They quietly begin
when someone chooses to be human again.
If you shared even a little tonight,
that’s more than enough for me.
Merry Christmas.
